Inviting waters for anglers

Liberty Reservoir, on the border between Carroll and Baltimore counties, is a popular spot for fishing. Built by Baltimore City for use as a public water supply, it was completed on July 8, 1954. However, it is also home to a number of fish species, including largemouth and smallmouth bass, bluegill, crappie and white perch. The reservoir also was stocked with striped bass between 1981 and 1984.
