The East Texas Fishing Report for the week of July 24:
ATHENS -- Lake Athens is a foot low and clear. Water temp is in upper 80s. Peter Gould at Lake Athens Marina said bass and crappie fishing was slow over the weekend. Bream are good in 6-10 feet of water, mostly on crickets and earthworms. Lots of hand size fish
