Area anglers get a shot at top prize
Three Charlotte-area anglers get a shot at a $1 million first prize in the Forrest Wood Cup bass-fishing championship tournament Thursday-Sunday in Hot Springs, Ark. The anglers, Todd Auten of Lake Wylie, S.C., Chris Baumgardner of Gastonia and Bryan Thrift of Shelby, must beat out 78 other top-flight fishermen to become an instant millionaire. The pro division field of 81 will fish Lake Ouachita
